A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience in IP litigation, preferably with trial experience. The ideal candidate should have a technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas. They should be adept at independently conducting research, drafting substantive pleadings and motions, managing discovery practice, participating in hearings and depositions, and interfacing directly with clients. Duties:

  • Conduct independent research and analysis in intellectual property law.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other substantive legal documents.
  • Organize, conduct, and manage discovery practice.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
  • Interface directly with clients to provide legal advice and updates on case status.
  • Collaborate with experienced lawyers to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
  • Maintain a high standard of client service and professionalism.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation, preferably with trial experience.
  • Technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas.
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
