A growing personal injury law firm is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their team in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be aggressive, focused, and able to manage a large and active docket of personal injury cases. Location:
Duties:
- Investigate case facts and gather evidence to support damages claims
- Negotiate settlements, including lien resolution, where appropriate
- Maintain communication with clients, opposing attorneys, court personnel, and insurance representatives
- Collaborate with legal teams to achieve law firm goals
- Supervise and mentor support staff
- Ensure the efficient management of a large caseload
- Provide legal guidance and ensure timely case resolution
Requirements:
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plaintiff or defense personal injury law
- Experience in insurance defense and/or prior claims handling is a significant advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Needles case management software is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Superior negotiation abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
