H1: Join Harris Beach as an Associate in Creditors' Rights Litigation in Rochester or Syracuse, NY H2: Represent Creditors, Sureties, and Trustees in Bankruptcy and Litigation Matters Harris Beach, a top-ranked national law firm, is seeking an experienced associate to join our Financial Restructuring, Bankruptcy, and Creditors' Rights team in either our Rochester or Syracuse, NY offices. As an associate in our Creditors' Rights Litigation department, you will have the opportunity to work on complex bankruptcy and litigation matters, representing creditors, sureties, trustees, debtors, and committees. Key Responsibilities: - Draft demand letters, court motions, pleadings, and other legal documents - Conduct legal research on insolvency and bankruptcy issues - Provide legal advice to clients on collateral preservation and recovery, as well as judgment enforcement - Represent lenders in workout and forbearance agreements - Appear in state and bankruptcy courts on behalf of clients - Meet the firm's expectation of 1800 billable hours annually Qualifications: - 1-5+ years of litigation experience, preferably in creditor's rights - Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school - Admitted to practice law in New York - Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams - Excellent research, writing, and communication skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities - Military experience is welcome Harris Beach is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace, and we encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences, including those with military experience.
