Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate for its Liability & Excess team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, complex insurance coverage cases across the United States. The successful candidate will collaborate with talented lawyers in a dynamic, supportive environment, offering expertise in advising national and international insurers on various coverage matters, including pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defects, products liability, errors and omissions, and more.
Location:

Duties:
- Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
- Provide coverage advice to clients on complex insurance matters.
- Conduct rigorous legal research and draft memoranda based on findings.
- Prepare and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions, and other legal documents.
- Engage in formal correspondence with opposing counsel and other parties.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
Requirements:
- Excellent academic credentials.
- JD degree (2020, 2021, or 2022 graduates preferred).
- Admission to practice in New Jersey (additional admissions are a plus).
- Experience or interest in complex insurance coverage matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey (required). Additional state admissions are a plus.
Skills:
- Expertise in insurance coverage matters, particularly in toxic tort, products liability, construction defects, and related fields.
- Advanced legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
