Job Title: Legal Intern Organization: California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. Location: Various locations throughout California Salary: Unpaid, academic credit available Experience: None required, but passion for social justice and public interest preferred Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a law program or undergraduate program - Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred for Migrant Offices) - Passion for CRLA's mission and vision - Strong research skills in state and federal issues - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to work with diverse populations - Previous community service experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Internship Conditions: - Full or part-time positions available, with flexible start and end dates - Academic credit available (specific availability may differ per office and subject area) - Non-paid position, interns are responsible for funding their own expenses during the internship Responsibilities: - Participate in client intake and case development - Represent clients in administrative hearings - Conduct legal research and writing - Work closely with experienced attorneys and advocates on various legal cases and projects - Assist with community outreach and education programs How to Apply: To apply for a legal internship with CRLA, please submit your resume, cover letter, and writing sample (optional) through our online application form.
