The State and Local Tax - Indirect Tax - Property Tax Manager position at PwC is a full-time role with up to 20% travel requirements. This role is ideal for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 4 years of experience, and a CPA, Bar membership, or other relevant credentials. A Juris Doctorate is preferred.

As a Manager at PwC, you will be a problem solver, working with a team to tackle complex business issues. Some of your responsibilities will include developing new skills outside of your comfort zone, resolving issues that hinder team effectiveness, coaching others and recognizing their strengths, and analyzing proposals to provide meaningful recommendations.

Our team at PwC helps clients manage their indirect tax responsibilities, such as value added taxes, sales and use taxes, federal excise taxes, and other transaction taxes. We also assist with identifying and exploring opportunities and issues related to business expansion, systems and controls, refunds and cash flow, and policy and design.

To excel in this role, you will need to have a thorough knowledge of state and local tax laws, regulations, and policies, as well as experience with tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defense, and state controversy work. Additionally, you should possess technical skills in areas such as FAS 5, reverse audits, tax planning, consulting, compliance, automation, mergers and acquisitions, and audit defense.

You will also need to have experience in developing relationships with clients and the community, communicating value propositions, managing resources, and preparing complex written and verbal materials. As a team leader, you should be able to build trust, encourage improvement and innovation, and provide feedback to your team.

The salary range for this position is $98,300 - $266,000, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, and vacation time.
