Today, ZCG has three principals and a director of administration. The firm's principals were all practicing attorneys prior to joining the recruiting firm and have experience at major law firms, companies, and public interest organizations between them. With personal legal experience, ZCG's recruiters have a thorough understanding of the legal industry and the challenges that attorneys face in the ever-shifting job market.
ZCG is dedicated solely to the placement of attorneys and has a history of successfully placing attorneys of all levels within Chicago law firms and in major legal markets around the nation. The firm's in-house placements have included, but are not limited to, general counsel, vice president and general counsel, chief corporate counsel, and patent counsel. In-house clients run the gamut from multinational conglomerates to start-up companies.
ZCG has also worked with national and local law firms in matters of expansion, including acquisitions, affiliations, and the establishment of additional offices.

In an effort to serve those who serve others, ZCG waives or reduces the standard fee for public interest organizations that seek its placement services. The firm also established the Zenner Consulting Group Grant at its founder's alma mater, Northwestern University School of Law. The scholarship was developed to support students working toward a legal career in public interest.
