The Cincinnati College of Law which started in the year 1833 is one of the oldest schools in the United States. This school of law was founded by the Association of American Law Schools. The Cincinnati Law College is one of the other five colleges that produced both a president of United States, William Howard Taft and two judges of the Supreme Court that included Willis Van Devanter and Taft again.

To apply to the College of Law, each applicant is required to complete the regular decision application completely. If any information is not disclosed as asked in the application, it will be rejected. Furthermore, the college does not consider any application as complete until a Character and Fitness Form has been received. Most importantly all applicants must take the LSAT.

The rate of students passing the bar examination was 93% in the year 2006. This was the highest pass percentage rate in Ohio. About 96% of the students got placements in the year 2005, after their post graduation. 46% of the graduates are practicing in private, 15% of them are working as clerks in the judicial department and 65% of them are working in Ohio.
