Advice to law firm management:
Spend some money and update the equipment in the office. I hate to think how much money is being wasted simply due to inefficiency.
Pros:
The location is very good and the pay is above market average. There are a ton of nice restaurants in the area.
Cons:
For some reason everything done within the firm needs to be on paper. The computer systems are old and outdated, and the office equipment is ancient. Both the technology and office management system are incredibly outmoded.

Our highly successful Summer Associate Program is our primary source for the recruitment of new associate attorneys. Second and third year law students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, biology, and computer systems are encouraged to apply. Summer associates receive hands-on experience in patent and trademark prosecution and litigation and undertake a variety of projects and assignments that provide a realistic view of law firm life and work. Where appropriate and available, summer associates can attend client meetings, depositions, and court proceedings. Summer associates are assigned mentors who provide guidance, offer advice, and share their expertise. Summer associates are given feedback on their performance through formal reviews at the five-week mark, as well as at the end of the summer. Informal feedback is provided by supervising attorneys as summer associates complete various projects and assignments.
