Hilton was not placed under arrest until she knocked a small bundle containing close to a gram of cocaine out of her purse as she reached for lip balm in the presence of an officer. Hilton contends that the cocaine is not hers and that she did not know it was in the purse. However, as for all the other contents of the purse she admits that they were hers.
Her story goes that she borrowed the purse from an unidentified friend and must have overlooked the small bundle of cocaine when she put her possessions into the bag. Regardless of how transparent the story seems, it is now up to the courts to determine what her fate will be. The heiress's arraignment is set for October 27, 2010.
