Philadelphia-based Radian Group, Inc., a leading credit risk management provider to financial and capital markets worldwide, appointed Teresa Bryce Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. Bryce will report to S.A. Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer. The company hopes to benefit considerably from Bryce's wide-ranging experience in the legal and mortgage industries. Prior to joining Radian, Bryce served Nexstar Financial Corporation as General Counsel, Senior Vice President, and Secretary.
Former Norton Rose partner joins Al Salam Bank as GC
Bahrain-based Al Salam Bank hired international law firm Norton Rose's former partner designate, Mohammed Paracha, as the bank's Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Paracha, after a six-year stint at Norton Rose's headquarters in London, shifted base to the Bahrain office to lead the regional Islamic finance team. Al Salam Bank envisions building a high-caliber senior management team with Paracha's help, in order to facilitate the achievement of its premeditated exigent goal of becoming a global force in the Islamic financial services industry. The bank's mission is to provide distinguished products and services to astute clients in specific zones. Barcelo Crestline appoints new GC and senior VP

Renal Care appoints new GC

Sungard on the lookout for Asia GC
Sungard, a company dealing in software, is on the lookout for a senior lawyer with mergers and acquisitions experience to lead its Asia-Pacific legal team as general counsel—a newly created position for Asia. Currently, Howard Wallis, General Counsel for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, supervises the company's Asian transactions. Sungard's hunt targets forward-looking individuals who will be able to control the company's operations from China to New Zealand and Australia. At present, only 5 percent of the company's $4 billion total revenue comes from the Asia-Pacific connection, which the company envisages fortifying in the near future.
